Occasionally, mechanically sound machine tools experience control failures. In this case, Ohio Hi-Speed recommends a control retrofit for these machines in order to update to modern control standards while saving on the costs of a full mechanical upgrade of drives and motors. Our team makes every effort to maintain as many existing parts as possible in order to keep project costs low.

At the beginning of each project, our team will examine the existing controls to determine whether new drive amplifiers or a new servo motor should be placed. After stripping all old wiring from the machine, our team installs new wiring, operators pendant, and magnetic panel and replaces any defective cord grips. In many cases, the machine’s existing limit switches and motor starter main disconnect may remain intact.
